Psarros Emmanouil

Psarros is a sixth-year medical student at the School of Medicine, University of Patras, Greece. He was born in 2002 in Athens, with family roots from Arta and Mani, and graduated from the Varvakeio Model High School in 2020. He intends to specialize in Pulmonology, with research interests focusing on Thoracic Oncology, Immunology, and Interventional Pulmonology. As a student, he has presented scientific work at national conferences in the fields of Pulmonology and Oncology. In 2025, in collaboration with the Pulmonology Department of the University of Patras (Head: Professor Argyris Tzouvelekis), he contributed to a study published in the journal Cancers, which investigated geographic inequalities in healthcare access among residents of rural areas diagnosed with lung cancer (Sampsonas et al., Cancers 2025, 17(16), 2701). He is also a founding member of Fleva Zois, the voluntary blood donation group of the University of Patras.
