Alevizopoulos Nektarios
Nektarios Alevizopoulos is Medical Oncologist consultant at the Oncological Department of Athens in the General Hospital “Evaggelismos”. Dr. Alevizopoulos graduated from Athens University- Medical School in 1998 and completed his Pathology specialization in 2005, as well as his specialization in Pathological Oncology in 2009 at ‘Evaggelismos” hospital. Between 2005 and 2007 he successfully fulfilled his residency at the Royal Marsden Anticancer Center in London, with specialty on bone marrow transplantation in malignancies. He is fully involved on his research in the Athens Medical School at the department of Physiology, in the era of prostate cancer. He is an active member of the study group of the department of Physiology in the scientific area of Immunotherapy and tumor microenvironment. Today, he is cooperating with the National Kapodistrian University of Athens, giving lectures in six of its recognized post-graduate programs. For the last fifteen years, he participates in clinical studies that concern lung cancer, and publishes articles in oncology field. He participates with everlasting commitment in a plethora of events on Nursing Education concerning matters of Oncology and in numerous educational programs of the Greek Society of Oncologists and Pathologists.
He is an active member of the Greek Society of Oncologists and Pathologists and of the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO)
