When I received my diagnosis, it felt like a trapdoor had opened beneath me, pushing me into a dark, unfamiliar place without light. The fear of death, and just the mention of the word “cancer,” dominated this space, a space full of shadows. I quickly realized that this dark place was part of me, a part I had never acknowledged. Instead, I was convinced “it will never happen to me.” But it did. It felt like a trap with no escape. The question of “life or death” hunted me, yet this very question started to shed some light. Suddenly, there was at least one option—an option which started to show me the way, bringing what I needed at just the right moment. FairLife’s BREATH program has been a guiding light in my journey! The support from President Mrs. Korina Pateli-Bell and the compassionate care from my therapist have been invaluable. The program’s free assistance has provided immense relief, helping both me and my family navigate the challenges of the disease. What I value most is how FairLife L.C.C. has transformed loss and pain into a powerful source of knowledge, care, and support. When you feel betrayed by your own body, knowing there are people extending a hand feels like cool water after an exhausting battle with fire!
