FairLife Lung Cancer Care congratulates Maria “Cyber” Katsikadakou on receiving the award of “Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters”, conferred by Nicolas Eybalin, Counselor for Cooperation and Cultural Action at the French Embassy and Director of the French Institute in Greece, representing the Minister of Culture and Communication of the French Republic.
Maria Katsikadakou shares FairLife’s vision. Along with her personal battle against Lung Cancer, she strongly supports lung cancer patients in their own challenge. She fights for the freedom of self-expression, for equality and the spirit of brotherhood that should guide our lives. We wish her to keep fighting and overcome all difficulties!
Maria Katsikadakou, a recognized activist – with an early passion for equality and justice – takes part in the collective struggle for the rights of LGBT people in Greece as in many other countries. She is the organizer of the Cyberdykes parties and of the well-established Outview Film Festival. Through her radio show and many more artistic projects, such as stand-up comedies, film productions and her photographic work, Maria contributes the most to the struggle for visibility, equality and acceptance of the LGBTQI community.
