FairLife L.C.C. celebrates World Lung Day and
World Environmental Health Day 2023!
We welcome our new new ambassador Antonis Tsapatakis, Paralympian and world swimming champion to FairLife L.C.C.’s family and deeply appreciate his support to our cause. World Lung Day and World Environmental Health Day 2023 promote the importance of equitable lung care and the value of environmental health to keep our people safe.
On September, 25 (World Lung Day) and September 26 (World Environmental Health Day), our health becomes top priority. Healthy planet, healthy people!
FairLife L.C.C. advocates lung health, within a healthy lifestyle and a green planet. A short video is produced to celebrate World Lung Day and World Environmental Health Day 2023.
Featuring in this video: Antonis Tsapatakis, new FairLife L.C.C.’s ambassador, paralympian and world swimming champion, Kiki Tsakaldimi, mountaineer and FairLife L.C.C.’s ambassador and Eric Bell, high school student, as the voice of the young generation.

🔎World Lung Day 2023 Theme: Breath of Life: healthy lungs for all. We raise awareness of the importance of lung health and take action to ensure that everyone has access to the care they need, without social, financial or geographical exclusions. We call for the universal human right to breathe clean air. We leave no one behind!
🔎World Environmental Health Day 2023 Theme: Global Environmental Public Health: Standing up to protect everyone’s health each and every day. According to the World Health Organization, global environmental issues are behind more than 100 diseases. Public health strategy should be built on information, understanding the risks, and developing the resources to protect our health and the planet’s.
Within FairLife L.C.C.’s action to raise awareness for the environment and lungs’ health, Antonis Tsapatakis stated: “There is so much we can do for clean air, clean seas, lush forests! We must take our share of responsibility and play our part to save the environment. Healthier planet, healthier lungs!
Kiki Tsakaldimi stressed the value of individual and group effort towards a pollution-free environment: “The planet is in danger. So is our health! We need to act fast! . We take care of nature, we take care of life!”
“Earth is home. We have the right to clean air, to live in a world free of air pollution. It’s time to take the future into our own hands! ” stressed Eric Bell.

FairLife- Lung Cancer Care is the only non-profit organization, exclusively dedicated to lung cancer in Greece.
FairLife L.C.C.’s mission is to holistically support people impacted by lung cancer, aiming to improve their quality of life throughout their journey from diagnosis to treatment.
FairLife L.C.C. works:
– to raise public awareness about prevention and early diagnosis, so as to reduce mortality rates
– for the right to be informed about lung cancer
– to promote equal access to diagnostic methods, clinical trials and innovative treatments
– to indicate the need for psychological support for patients, their families and caregivers
– to eliminate lung cancer stigma related to smoking.
FairLife – Lung Cancer Care was founded in memory of Simon Bell, 57, who lost the battle with lung cancer in August 2020.
