The Hellenic Thoracic Society (HTS) focuses on the importance of screening for early diagnosis of lung cancer.Our goal for Greece is to create a country with the lowest lung cancer rates. Screening can help diagnose the disease at an early stage, when treatment is more likely to be effective. Well-informed citizens as well as the cooperation of all competent authorities are considered necessary, in order to include lung cancer screening in the national health strategy. The Hellenic Thoracic Society will continue to work in a coordinated manner to achieve the above goal."
