Chemotherapy drugs are mainly given through the bloodstream to reach and attack cancer cells all over the body. However, they can also harm healthy cells along the way.
Targeted therapy drugs focus on specific mutations in cancer cells, blocking pathways they use to spread. This makes them more precise and potentially more effective than chemotherapy. But not all tumors have these mutations.
Immunotherapy drugs work by boosting our immune system to recognize and destroy cancer cells, rather than attacking the cancer cells directly.
