Rovina Nikoletta
Nikoletta Rovina is Associate Professor in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. Her main research interest lies on the investigation of airway inflammation and cellular immunology (mainly in asthma and COPD). She has been a research collaborator of Cellular Immunology Laboratory, Center for Basic Research, Biomedical Research Foundation of the Academy of Athens (BRFAA) since 2019. As an intensivist her main interest is the research of sepsis through the collaboration with the Hellenic Institute for the Study of Sepsis and the European Sepsis Alliance. Since 2020 she’s focused on the research of the immunology of SARS-COV2 infection in collaboration with the above mentioned institutes. She is fully involved with the clinical work of both pulmonology and intensive care (COVID Unit), as well as, the education of pre- and post- graduate students.
