I completed my residency in Pulmonary Medicine took place in the 1st department of Pulmonary Medicine of the University of Athens. I continued my training in Interventional Pulmonology (IP) as a Fellow at the Interventional Pulmonology Unit of 1st pulmonary department of the University of Athens, Sotiria hospital under the guidance of Prof. Grigoris Stratakos after previously completing a clinical attachment in the Interventional pulmonology department of Azienda Ospedaliero Universitaria “Ospedali Riuniti” in Ancona, Italy with Prof. Stefano Gasparini.
Since 2013, I have worked in the private sector as the Scientific Director of the respiratory medicine department of Mediterraneo hospital.
I have been serving as a trainer of the ERS EBUS course (part 1 and 2) for the last 5 years.
I have participated as a trainer or speaker in numerous national and international IP seminars organized.
I have given numerous lectures, and presented oral and poster presentations on IP in Hellenic congresses as well as the European (ECBIP) and World congress (WCBIP) on IP during the last 10 years.
I have served as the co-ordinator of the working group of IP of the Hellenic Thoracic Society.
I currently serve as the Regent of Greece in the World Association of Interventional Pulmonology (WABIP). I have also served as Chair of the social media committee of the WABIP for the period (2022-2024).
I have served as a National Delegate for Greece for the European Society of Interventional Pulmonology (EABIP).
I have participated in several ECBIP congresses as an invited speaker or abstract presenter.
I have participated as an invited speaker and trainer in several industry-driven hands-on IP seminars in Lebanon and Greece.
I have received several praises and awards from the Hellenic Thoracic Society for my research activities.
I have been involved as a clinical monitor and investigator in several clinical trials.
I serve as a reviewer in several scientific journals (Clinical Respiratory Journal IF 2.24, BMC Respiratory Medicine IF 2.28, Respiration IF 3.28, Respirology case reports IF 0.28).
